Dejota is a Pennsylvania Licensed Acupuncturist & Herbalist who specializes in Dr. Richard Tan's Balance Method Acupuncture, Tuina, and Classical Chinese Herbology with over 10 years of experience. He is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a Master's level graduate of and Doctoral student at Five Branches University, one of the nation’s leading schools of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and student of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine, an internationally renown program in advanced Canonical Chinese Medicine Training.

Dejota has been involved with the healing arts most of his life. He started meditating at the age of 5 and began doing hands on healing shortly after that. He began intense training in Qigong, Taiji, Bagua and other Daoist arts in 1990 and is a Certified Instructor under Lineage Master Bruce Frantzis with whom he has trained since 1999. He also practices Cranio Sacral Therapy, Reiki, and staying true to his roots, Traditional Cherokee Bodywork.
In addition to treating, Dejota teaches classes and workshops on self-healing and self-cultivating practices to empower you to take charge of your own health, qigong, neigong, tai chi, bagua, and meditation.
Dejota also holds a B.S. in Music and M.A. in Applied Sociology from Northeastern University. In the past, Dejota was a social justice & leadership trainer, a life coach. He uses his unique background to present fun and interactive workshops on topics like stress management, healthy living, getting more energy, being more productive, etc. He spends his free time taking care of his children, volunteering in the community, practicing energy arts, and working to help others to recognize and achieve their own potential.
