- Acupuncture - use of thin hair-like needles placed in specific points on the body.
- Herbal Formulas - herbs or powders to make a tea or pills taken with prescription.
- Cupping - cups are placed on the muscles to pull out cold, heat, and toxins from the body and release muscles and fascia
- Gua Sha - a method of scraping to pull out heat and toxins from the body
- Ear Seeds - small seeds that are placed on points on the ear (a microcosm of the body) and pressed by the patient each day.
- Qigong Tuina - pulses joints and energy gates in the body and light touch spiraling fascial work
- Medical Qigong - energy techniques used on and exercises given to the patient.
- Xiao'er Tuina - Pediatric massage consisting of gentle & rhythmic, rubbing, kneading, tapping to treat newborns to about 12 years old.
The Cherokee have developed a complex, comprehensive body therapy and energy healing system that uses an alternation of deep tissue massage and gentle rocking with breath and non-contact energy work to release contraction and blockage. There is also a narrative component in which we dialogue with the body to find the cause of the problem and empower you in your healing process.
